It has been a long time since the series of the Canal+ group has aroused the enthusiasm of the audience. But we have to believe that the group has managed to turn the tide thanks to BRI, its new original creation that launched on April 24 on the channel.
A press release sent out by the channel said that the thriller, created by Jeremy Guess (The Night Grew the World) and Ervan Augoyard (Gears), recorded the best audience for the original creation in 4 years. The exact data is not known, but the series is at the top of the most watched programs on the platform.
Comprised of 8 episodes, BRI follows the adventures of the Versailles BRI, a historical unit specializing in organized crime. Said (Sofian Khames) leads a team of young elite police officers, both reckless and efficient.
A former member of the special forces replaces Patrick (Bruno Todeschini), a charismatic leader who built his police legend during 20 years with Eric, the leader of the Paris underworld clan. Said will have to find his place in his group while avoiding a gang war between Eric’s family and the El Hassan brothers.
But this was without reckoning on Patrick, who was determined to return to the front of the stage, if Said refused to take sides in the settlement of these accounts, which threatened to set the capital aflame.
In addition to Sofiane Khames and Bruno Todeschini, the cast of BRI combines young actors and experienced actors. Ofeli Bau, Theo Christine, Raba Knight Ofela, Wael Sersub and Sami Outalbal thus respond to Vincent Elbaz and Emmanuel Devos.
Broadcast every Monday from 21:10 on Canal+, the 8 episodes of the series are now available in their entirety on MyCANAL.
