OR Federal Official Sheet (DOU) This Thursday (4) brings the appointment of reserve general Marcos Antonio Amaro dos Santos as minister of the Institutional Security Office (GSI). Amaro’s inauguration at the helm of the GSI is scheduled for 9 at Palazzo Planalto.
The DOU also brings the appointment of Ricardo Cappelli to the position of executive secretary of the Ministry of Justice, confirming his return to the position he already held previously. Cappelli was designated interim minister of the GSI, when General Gonçalves Dias, who was in charge of Pasta, was sacked from office.
On Wednesday 3, after confirming Amaro’s name as head of the GSI, Cappelli published a “mission accomplished” message, announcing his return to the Ministry of Justice.
