‘Peacemaker’ Actor Joins ‘Reacher’ Season 2

Actor Robert Patrick (“Peacemaker”) has joined the cast of the second season of the series “Reacher”, one of the most watched series on Amazon Prime Video. He will have an important role in the storyline, playing Shane Langston.

In the job, Langston is a former NYPD detective of dubious reputation, who becomes head of security at a private defense firm.

The role was originally to be played by Rory Cochrane (“CSI: Miami”). He was cast in the role in September, but dropped out of the production at the end of the year due to scheduling conflicts. According to the portal Deadline, the actor had not yet recorded any scenes, which means that the change has not affected the recordings, which ended in late February.

The series is the brainchild of writer and showrunner Nick Santora (“Prison Break”) and is based on the novels by writer Lee Child. The plot revolves around Jack Reacher, played by Alan Ritchson (“Titans”), a former military man who has just entered civilian life and gets involved, often by accident, in the investigation of various crimes.

Season two, based on the eleventh book in Child’s bestselling series, “Bad Luck and Trouble,” begins as members of Reacher’s former military unit start winding up dead. With that, Reacher decides to take revenge.

The series cast also includes Serinda Swan (“Inhumans”) and Ferdinand Kingsley (“Dracula: Untold Story”). The season two cast also includes Maria Sten (“Swamp Thing”) and Shaun Sipos (“Sandman: A Real Nightmare”).

No release dates have been announced yet for the new episodes.
