This Saturday, Manchester City hosted Leeds United for the 35th round of the English Premier League and won the match 2 to 1. Gundogan scored two goals for the Citizens in the first stage and Rodrigo lost for the visitors.
With the win, Manchester City are on 82 points, four points clear of Arsenal, and further isolate themselves at the top of the Premier League table. It should be noted that the Citizens are still a round behind the Gunners, who play their 35th game on Sunday, while Guardiola’s side have 34 games.
Leeds, on the other hand, have 30 points and are on the verge of the relegation zone, in 17th place, and could go to the round of 16 again this round.
Manchester City’s next match will be the Champions League semi-final first leg against Real Madrid this Tuesday, at 4pm (Brasilia time), at the Santiago Bernabéu. Leeds, on the other hand, will only return to the field next Saturday for the Premier League against Newcastle, at 8:30, at home.

The game
Manchester City started to press, as expected, and managed to open the scoring in the 19th minute of the opening phase through Gundogan. Possession in the first 45 minutes was 85% with City, who created much more and crushed the opponent. With that, at 27, Gundogan scores again, extends for the Manchester club and closes the account for the first half.
In the final stage, despite City’s quiet victory, Haaland experienced drama. The Norwegian striker squandered two great chances to score in the match and hit the post on both occasions. Gundogan still had a chance to score his third goal, but the German also stopped the post from a penalty in the 38th minute. A little later Rodrigo reduced, but it was not enough for Leeds to chase the equalizer.
