AES Brasil said on Tuesday that it is discussing with its controlling shareholder financing alternatives for its growth strategy in Brazil, but has not decided yet.
The renewable energy producer released the statement clarifying the news from Valor Econômico according to which the company would be looking for a strategic partner, one of the possible consequences being a delisting process of the company’s capital.
AES also said that, given growing demand for renewable energy and Brazil’s large potential for wind and solar projects, it is maintaining its “consistent and accelerated” growth plan in the country.
