As far as Real Madrid’s performance is concerned, the coach proved to be satisfied, even if he pointed out some posture mistakes by the team.
“They will do their best to stay at home. Our strategy was good and we controlled Manchester City well in the second half. We moved the ball more and created more chances. We weren’t very patient with the ball in the first half. more with the ball in the first 20 minutes, like we did in the second half,” explained the coach.
The return match will be next Wednesday, at 16:00 (Brasilia time), at the Etihad Stadium. Before that, Real Madrid return to action on Saturday to face Getafe for the Spanish League. The team occupies third place in the competition, with 68 points, and has very little chance of winning the title.
