From an idol group to a superhero team, just one step away! The Crunchyroll platform is really gearing up to air the animated series Bastions this Saturday, May 13, featuring the members of the K-Pop group BTS as vigilantes fighting against an enemy that threatens our planet’s ecosystem.
Both competing when it comes to popularity ratings in the community, but also putting friends in danger, the heroes of this team are portrayed by the seven members of the BTS group: Jin, Suga, J-Hop, RM, Jimin, V and Jongkook. The latter also recorded the series’ theme song, while other K-Pop groups collaborated on the series’ soundtrack.
In a statement sent to the press by Crunchyroll, the platform’s content manager Asa Suehira is pleased “It’s an incredible opportunity to introduce fans to more Asian animation, and this exciting new Korean series is perfect for that.” Note that the Bastions animated series consists of a total of five episodes, with one episode airing each week.
Who knows if Bastions will succeed in getting K-Pop fans interested in Japanese animation, and vice versa, anime fans in South Korean music. Generally associated in the minds of the general public, these two communities of fans are nevertheless distinguished in practice by generally different centers of interest. Hence the atmosphere of the platform, which offers a program on the edge of two worlds with great fanfare!
