Actress Meadow Walker posted on her Instagram, this Thursday (11), teaser of the cameo in “Fast & Furious 10”, made in honor of her late father, Paul Walker.
“The first movie came out when I was one year old! I grew up on set watching my father Vin [Diesel]Jordan [Brewster]Michele [Rodriguez], [Ludacris] and more on monitors,” Walker said in a message accompanying a photo of herself in the new film. “Thanks to my father, I was born into the ‘Fast’ family. I can’t believe I’ll be there even now. Who has been around to see me grow up with.”
Walker thanked the film’s director, Louis Leterrier, for his “kindness, patience and support,” adding, “You feel like you’ve been part of the family since we started, I’m glad this is just the beginning.”
She later thanked producer Brandon Birtell – “dad’s best friend who’s now my best friend” – writing, “This wouldn’t have been possible without you.”
“I am so happy to be able to honor my father’s legacy and share it with him forever,” Walker wrote in closing. “I love you all.”
The message was met with endorsements from franchise stars Vin Diesel and Scott Eastwood, among many others. “He Was so proud of you!!!!” wrote Eastwood. “Now he’s smiling at us!!”
Meadow Walker’s father, Paul Walker, was one of the original stars of the Fast and Furious franchise, playing street racer Brian O’Conner in five episodes before he died, aged 40, after a car accident in November 2013.
Marking the penultimate installment of the decade-long action franchise is ‘Fast & Furious 10’, which hits theaters on May 19.
The new film opens with street racer Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his crew as they try to fend off the pair of villains pursuing them: cyber-terrorist Cipher (Charlize Theron) and his mysterious sidekick, Dante (Jason Momoa). . ) — with the help of a new friend named Tess (Brie Larson).
