Craig Mazin, showrunner of The Last of Us, supported the strike and suspended production of the script for the second season and other productions in which he was involved. Responsible for seven of the first season’s nine episodes, he was spotted during a protest by the Writers Guild of America, a union of Hollywood screenwriters.
It is not yet known whether Neil Druckmann, also showrunner and director of the series, is involved in the scripts of the second season, which will adapt a part of the second game of the franchise, The last of us part II.
