Cookie: A Mother’s Day gift option that can create memories

Cookie: A Mother’s Day gift option that can create memories

Between letters and drawings, the pastry chef Lu Bonometti suggests recipes for perfect biscuits for children to prepare with their own hands to give their mothers unforgettable gifts

We invite you to take a trip back in time now. Do you remember when you were a child and did letters and drawings for your mother? Her reaction was invaluable, right? A giant smile or teary eye appeared as soon as you handed over that gift made with so much love and care. Now comes the question, if you could go back in time, would you make a cookie to give to your mother?

The pastry chef Lu Bonometti, of Casa Bonometti, held a biscuit workshop for the little ones at the 10th Paladar Cozinha do Brasil, last Saturday and Sunday (6 and 7), and brought smiles to the children and parents of the little ones, who were able to experience that learning moment with your children. The success was so great, the smiles so wide and the moments so funny that they inspired this suggestion to parents, uncles or any adult close to a child: how about you help a child make a delightful gift for Mother’s Day below shape of a cookie?

To approve the idea, we spoke to Guilherme Sá, the father of 4-year-old Marina, who attended the chocolate biscuit class: “It was the first time he made a biscuit, the experience was perfect. And I think she’d like to make one. cookie for mum, only they’re in the kitchen, i’ll be honest, i’m pretty naughty. So it could be raw or burnt. But one thing i’m sure of: the fun is guaranteed.”

We also exchanged an idea with the pastry chef and laboratory teacher, Lu Bonometti, and we learned that, by chance, she had given this very suggestion while waiting for the cookies to bake during the lesson. “I told the kids that now that they already know how to make cookies, they can take advantage of Mother’s Day week to make some cookies to give as gifts. How good wouldn’t it be to win a cookie and be able to eat something your child made,” shared.

If you’re like Guilherme and afraid to take a chance on cookies, the pastry specialist reminds you that a great alternative is to ask your mother to participate in the process. “I think it is very important to create fond memories of food between mother and child. So, if the mother likes to cook, it can be nice to make the cookie together with the little one. I myself love cooking with my children, I like it. I think these moments are more important than ever, than a wild ride, for example, because these are the daily moments that we carry in our hearts, the simplest things become the most special memories”, he underlined with great emotion.
