Defending champion, the Italian leads the standings in 2023
Reigning MotoGP champion Francesco Bagnaia secured pole position at the French Grand Prix at the historic Le Mans circuit.
With a time of 1m30s705s, the Italian of Ducati and championship leader in 2023 will have the Spaniard Marc Márquez, of Honda, and also the Italian Luca Marini, of Ducati-VR46, at his side.
Bagnaia leads the standings with 87 points and two victories in four stages, followed by Marco Vezzecchi (Ducati-VR46), with 65. .
