‘Fast X’ was going to be the first part of the two that were going to conclude the main saga but, a few days before its premiere, its protagonists have revealed that it will actually be 3 parts.
After 9 films and a spin-off, the tenth installment of the ‘Fast & Furious’ saga seemed like the end of one that, against all logic, has been gaining fans and quality with each installment. However, it is better to finish on a high than to tire everyone out. That must have thought Vin Diesel when he promised that the tenth adventure of his “family” would be the last. Of course, then he would talk to Universal, producer of the saga, they would look at the bank accounts and say, the last one with nuances. The end of the ‘Fast & Furious’ saga was already going to be made up of two films in the form of two parts, like ‘Dune’. However, it seems that now we will have final trilogy. Yes, the final trilogy of a saga that already has 10 films…
‘Fast x’ already has first reactions and has been shown to some media outlets and, in the presentation, Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodríguez spoke with a reporter to say the following about the future of their characters:
Without giving too much away, I can say this. When making this movie, the studio asked if it could be a two-parter. And after the studio saw the first part, they said, ‘Could you make Fast X a trilogy?’ So, um…
That’s when Diesel kept quiet so as not to finish confirming the exclusive. After all, the fans are not going to see the end with the same desire as the first part of two of the finale, and even less than the first part of three of the finale. But then Michelle Rodriguez finished the sentence by alluding to the classic structure of the narrative…
Every story has 3 arcs.

Although both distanced themselves from the press before confirming the news, it seems clear that part 2 of ‘Fast X’ with the final ending is no longer considered among those responsible for the saga. Let’s remember that for this more than likely trilogy, in addition to Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, Jordana Brewster, Ludacris, Charlize Theron, Nathalie Emmanuel, Brie Larson, Daniela Melchior or Jason Momoa, among others, have gathered. In addition, it is expected that there will be a new tribute to Paul Walker, who died during the filming of the seventh installment.
‘Fast X’, the first part of the end of the legendary ‘Fast & Furious’ saga will hit theaters in Spain and much of the world on May 19. However, to reach the end of the saga, we will have to wait a couple more years, if there are two parts, or even more if it ultimately becomes a farewell trilogy. That the fans are calm, that we may be planted in 2026 or 2027 still talking about the end of the saga.
