After all, the end of Fast & Furious may not be that close

Fast and Furious X hits theaters this Thursday (18th) and the eleventh film would be the last in the saga. That may no longer be true, following comments from Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez on the film’s red carpet. The actors have indicated that the conclusion to the main franchise could actually be done in three parts. I mean, the tenth film would just be the first.

Sequel to Fast and Furious X?

According to Diesel, who plays Dominic Toretto in the franchise, and Michelle (aka Letty Ortiz), the closure of Fast & Furious It was originally going to be done in two parts.

However, the actor said that after the producers saw the tenth film, they asked if there could be a third part. The actress added that “every story has three acts” and confirmed that the the final of the saga will close a trilogy.

The synopsis of the tenth film reveals that Dominic Toretto and his family will have to deal with a new adversary, the deadliest they have faced so far. Plus, a threat from the past will return to haunt Dom’s world.

Written by Justin Lin and Dan Mazeau and directed by Louis Leterrier, the film will bring back Vin Diesel (Dom Toretto), Michelle Rodriguez (Letty Ortiz), Jordana Brewster (Mia Toretto), Tyrese Gibson (Roman Pearce), Ludacris (Tej Parker), Sung Kang (Han Lue), Nathalie Emmanuel (Ramsey), John Cena (Jakob Toretto) and Charlize Theron (Cipher).

New additions to the cast include Jason Momoa, who will play the main villain, Alan Ritchson, Rita Moreno and Brie Larson. On social media, Diesel even celebrated the arrival of the Marvel actress and Moreno in the universe of Fast & Furious.

Also, there are rumors that Gal Gadot may be returning as Gisele Yashar.

“Fast and Furious 10” premieres May 18 in Brazilian theaters.
