A doctor was arrested in the act by the civil police on Tuesday night (16) on charges of killing his ex-wife and her current boyfriend in São Gabriel, on the western border of Rio Grande do Sul. The victims were identified as Thiéle Molina and Rodrigo Falcão by the police authorities.
According to the delegate Fabrício Lima Ferreira, the doctor would have gone to Thiéle’s residence, located in the southern region of São Gabriel, and would have been involved in an argument with her at the door of her house. Rodrigo died at the crime scene, while Thiéle was taken to hospital, but died earlier this Wednesday (17).
“After the elections they separated, but they resumed their relationship. Unfortunately, things didn’t work out. Last year she filed a complaint against him,” said boss Ferreira. The doctor and Thiéle had two children, aged 3 and 4. According to Deputy Ferreira, the children were in the residence with their mother when the crime occurred.
The doctor has been sent to São Gabriel State Prison and faces charges of aggravated murder. The weapon used for the murders was seized by the Civil Police.
