Deadpool 3: Working Title Teasing Another Mutant Coming?

The working title of Deadpool 3 has just been revealed by an American site Cosmic Circus. The third installment of the franchise responsible for integrating Deadpool into the MCU is called: Tidal Wave.

If this working title doesn’t tell us anything specific about the plot or potential villains, it could be referring to the arrival of the irreverent superhero played by Ryan Reynolds in the Marvel Universe.

But if we take the guesswork even further, this title could refer to a comic book ultimatum Released in November 2008. This comic by Jeph Loeb and David Finch is a crossover that combines various comic book series from the Marvel Universe: Ultimate Spider-Man, Ultimate X-Men, Ultimate Fantastic Four and Ultimates.

In ultimatumNew York is hit by a tidal wave as Magneto seeks revenge for the deaths of his children. Given that Wolverine will be returning, it’s entirely possible that the mutant, already played on screen by Ian McKellen and Michael Fassbender, will return as well.

Directed by Sean Levy, Deadpool 3 has been eagerly awaited by fans since Hugh Jackman returned as Wolverine. On the casting side, Morena Baccarin (Vanessa), Stefan Kapicic (Colossus), Rob Delaney (Peter), Leslie Ughams (Al), Lewis Tan (Shutterstar) and Karan Son (Dopinder) will return, while Emma Corinne (The Crown) and Matthew McFadden (Legacy ) will join the saga.

Filming will begin in the coming days and it will hit theaters on November 6, 2024.
