HPI US version: Who will be the stars of the American remake of the series? Check out their faces!

Now it’s official: HPI is coming to the US! Last September, Newen, the production company behind the most popular French series of the moment, announced that it had sold the rights to adapt the fiction to ABC Signature, the Walt Disney Group’s production and distribution company.

And since then the project continues its course. This Tuesday, May 16, in conjunction with Disney’s release date, ABC announced an official order for the American remake. The high-profile series will pick up the origins of HPI and follow Morgan, a woman with an exceptional IQ and mother of three, who forms an incredible and unstoppable team with Commander Karadetz.

In this case, ABC has confirmed the cast of this new iteration, which will be led by Rob Thomas, the brains behind Veronica Mars. Check out their faces.

Caitlin Olson as Morgan

It is Caitlin Olson who has the difficult task of taking on the character played by Audrey Fleurot. This American sitcom-accustomed actor is one of the stars of Philadelphia (currently in its 15th season and already renewed… for season 18), where he particularly responds to Danny DeVito.

Karadec will be Daniel Sunjata

To play Commander Karadetz (who appears to be keeping his Breton-sounding name in the English version), ABC tapped Daniel Sunjata. The actor’s face may not be familiar to you, as he played one of Bailey’s suitors in Season 7 of Grey’s Anatomy. He currently stars in Power Book II: Ghost and Echoes.

Khavitsia Leslie will be Daphne

In the American version, Beranger McNeese will give way to Javicia Leslie in the role of Daphne, Morgan’s shy and inconspicuous colleague. The American actress is known for her role as Batwoman in seasons 2 and 3 of the series of the same name.

Denise Akdeniz as Lev “Oz” Osman

Gilles, who was camped by Bruno Sanchez in the original version, is played here by Denise Akdeniz, who played Aladdin in the film Once Upon a Time. For this occasion, the character was renamed to have an American sounding name.

Judy Reyes will be Selena

If we have a few details about this character, everything indicates that Selena will be on par with Celine Hazan, who will be played by Marie Denarno. Judy Reyes, his interpreter, became famous on the sitcom Scrubs. She was also in the cast of Devious Maids and Claws.

Amira Johnson will be Ava

Young actress Amira Johnson will slip into the shoes of Morgan’s daughter, named Ava for the occasion. Cypriane Gardin plays Thea in the French version.

Matthew Lamb will be Elliott

Morgan’s son Elliot will be played by Matthew Lamb, a young actor who recently appeared in the horror film Smile. He takes over the role previously played by Noah Vandewoude.
