A man is accused of kidnapping and killing his 4-year-old daughter in Terra Rica, Paraná, to take revenge on the girl’s mother. Nadiro Silva has not yet been found and it is suspected that he faked his own death to escape arrest. The information comes from Record agency.
The alleged kidnapping took place last Friday the 12th, when the man went to the house where Maria Cecília lived to spend the afternoon with her. As reported to the police Television recording, that was the second day of shared custody. After that, the man sent a message to his mother with a photo of the tied up and presumably dead girl.
“He sent a message to his mother saying he would never give it back, and then sent a picture of himself, where his hands were tied, crying. Later, a second lifeless photo,” delegate Samuel Souto Ribeiro explained.
Maria Cecília was found dead on Saturday 13 in Rio do Corvo. After her body was found, witnesses told police the suspect had been seen near the river. For this reason, the area has been surrounded by firefighters, who are carrying out searches together with police teams. The suspicion is that she is faking her own death.
What contributes to the thesis, according to the broadcaster, is that Nadiro took out a loan of R$ 10,000 with loan sharks in the region, the day before the crime. Furthermore, people would have seen him with a suitcase before going to pick up the child with his mother, and family members would have tried to recover his car at the police station without any remorse.
