‘Five Nights at Freddy’s’ will hit theaters on October 27.
After a long way to come true, ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s’ is finally coming to the big screen. The announcement that production was starting came in 2015, following the success of the eponymous video game saga created by Scott Cawthon in 2014. After the games’ high popularity ratings, the film adaptation seemed destined to succeed. However, its development was paused for an indefinite time, until now.
Universal and Blumhouse have shared the first official trailer for the film, starring Josh Hutcherson.and the result could not be more promising.
In the original games, players must survive the evil bears from Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria, who have come to life and want to kill them. To overcome this hell, they will have to skillfully use the security cameras, lights, and doors while exploring the area.
In the movie, we will see Josh Hutcherson as a new head of security at the dilapidated pizzeria. As the trailer approaches, the young man will arrive at the place led by an old presentation video, which celebrates his incorporation into the new job.
After turning on the lights of the old-fashioned establishment, the friendly bears that decorate the place will come to life ready to annihilate whoever they find in their path. As if it were ‘Toy Story 3’, teddy bears have never been so terrifying before.
The direction of the project is the responsibility of Emma Tammi, which was added to the project after the departure of several filmmakers. In the main cast we will also find Elizabeth Lail, Piper Rubio, Kat Conner Sterling, Mary Stuart Masterson, and Matthew Lillard.
Blumhouse will follow the same release strategy as with other of its titles, such as ‘Halloween Kills’ or ‘Halloween: The End’. The same day it arrives in theaters, the film will be included on the platform of streaming, Peacock.
The premiere will be, as the trailer announces, on October 27 of this year. Just in time for the most terrifying celebration of the season: Halloween night.
