Eight years after Han Solo (or four, if you count his cameo in Episode IX), Harrison Ford is about to say goodbye to the second role that made him a pop culture icon. The actor reiterated that this Indiana Jones would be his last, and it was James Mangold who was tasked with this final episode.
A challenge the director has already taken on with Wolverine and Logan, in which he already directed Boyd Holbrook, who we find here cast as a temptress. Phoebe Waller-Bridge plays the hero’s goddaughter, Mads Mikkelsen plays the villain, and Tobey Jones and Antonio Banderas will also be there. As does John Rhys-Davies, who will reprise his role as Salah.
If the story takes place in 1969, during the first steps on the moon, the opening scene (twenty-five minutes long according to its director) takes us back to the time of the first three films. Harrison Ford’s digital rejuvenation is already stunning. The rest happens in the skin. Then on June 28 in French cinemas.
