O Cannes Film Festival takes place every year in France and is the main film event in Europe, as well as one of the main ones in the world. This year in its 76th edition, from the 16th to the 27th of May, it featured big names from among new productions such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Pedro Pascal, Margot Robbie and Natalie Portman. The feature of Wes Anderson seems to be the epitome of his style: it tells the brilliant story of young attendees at a stargazer and space cadet convention in an abandoned 1950s town whose lives are transformed by the arrival of an alien. Imagine sudden isolation and the spreading existential fear, as an eccentric group of students, parents and enthusiasts — played by Jason Schwartzman, Tom Hanks, Scarlett Johansson, Tilda Swinton, Maya Hawke and Margot Robbie — wonder what the future holds.

Told in three different narratives, a mother, a teacher and a boy get involved in a serious fight at school. Strange Way of Life

Directed by Pedro Almodóvarthe 30-minute short film, “Sstrange Waand of Life” shows the reunion of Silva (Pedro Pascal) and Jake (Ethan Hawke) after 25 years apart, and together they live an afternoon of intimacy, reconciliation and memories.

As informed by Almodóvar to the IndieWire, the short film is an opportunity to deliver your version of “The Secret of Brokeback Mountain” (2005), since, before Ang Lee take charge of the movie, Almodóvar he was quoted to direct it, but he did not accept to work in the production because he did not have the freedom to tell the story the way he planned.
