Samsung’s next smartwatch receives certification and can now be sold in Brazil; the manufacturer is to present the device in July with a new folding
The Galaxy Watch 6, the next smartwatch from Samsung, has been approved by Anatel. The device certification request came from Samsung from Amazônia, the manufacturer’s branch in Brazil. Anatel’s approved model is the 44mm Galaxy Watch 6.
According to the technical compliance document, Samsung’s next smartwatch will be produced in Campinas and Manaus, as well as selling models that will be manufactured in factories in Vietnam and South Korea. Samsung is expected to announce the new Galaxy Watch 6 series on July 27, along with the foldables Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5.
Compliance document confirms Galaxy Watch 6
In addition to the model number (SM-R940), proof that the certified device is the Galaxy Watch 6 is in the text of the technical compliance document. In the additional technical comments section, the applicant (Samsung da Amazônia) informs that the product is a smartwatch. The model code was also released from the website SamMobilespecializes in covering Samsung products.

The first leaks and rumors of the Galaxy Watch 6 state that the 44mm version will have a 425mAh battery (same configuration expected for the 44mm Galaxy Watch 6 Classic). Its predecessor, the Galaxy Watch 5, has a 410mAh battery. According to the manufacturer, Samsung’s current model can be used for 40 hours before running out of power.
Other information released about the Galaxy Watch 6 pertains to the screen size. According to the leaker Ice Universe, one of the main “leakers” in the tech segment, Samsung has managed to increase the size of the “usable screen”. Thus, the 44mm version will have a 1.47-inch display, which is 0.7 inches larger than the Watch 5. Therefore, we can expect thinner borders on the model.
In the processor part, the Galaxy Watch 6 will use the Exynos W980, a chip not yet announced by Samsung. a source of SamMobile reported that the new processor performs 10% better than the Exynos W920 used in the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 5.
