In April, Nubank was briefed by the Brazilian Consumer Defense Institute (Idec) to explain the so-called remote access scam, in which criminals invaded customer accounts and carried out fraudulent transactions, which the fintech system failed to detect .

At the time, the bank said it maintained constant vigilance over the use of its services.
