Vin Diesel prepares several spin-offs of the ‘Fast and Furious’ saga, including a film focused on female characters

The ‘Fast and Furious’ saga is coming to an end. ‘Fast and Furious X’ is the first of the two (or three) films that will close the story of Dominic Toretto and his family, although the future of the universe of ‘Full throttle’ could go through spin-offs focused on secondary charactersas already happened with ‘Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw’ in 2019.

This has been confirmed Vin Dieselmaster and lord of the franchise: “I started developing the female spin-off in 2017, along with other spin-offsand the sooner I deliver the finale, the sooner I can launch all the spin-offs,” Diesel told Variety.

Michelle Rodriguez, Gal Gadot, Charlize Theron, Brie Larson, Helen Mirren, Daniela Melchior, Eva Mendes, Elsa Pataky, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel… The list of actresses who have gone through the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise has nothing to envy to the male cast led by Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham. And that’s without counting the possible additions that the saga could add if it decided to finally bet on a film focused on them. Can you imagine, for example, Sigourney Weaver in a character in the style of Kurt Russell’s Mr. Nobody?

Regarding this possible spin-off, it would be logical to think that Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) would be the leader of this group, but the actress is still considering signing up for more films in the saga after the end of the main series. “you pass the baton. By “having everyone” Diesel is referring to the two great comebacks who reappear at the end of ‘Fast and Furious X’ and in the post-credits scene of ‘Fast and Furious X’.

The new film shows the return of Gisele (Gal Gadot) and Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson). Diesel says it was a challenge to keep his involvement a secret, adding: “I’m so excited to have them back home and even more excited to see the reactions from the fans and see how happy it makes people.”

According to Diesel, Gadot previously filmed scenes for other films in the series.. However, they were scrapped because “the timing wasn’t right.”
