Capcom has brought several games up PlayStation showcase, the Sony event that showed the PS5 news for the next few months. Among them stood out Resident Evil 4 VR mode.

A free DLC update exclusive to the PlayStation 5 version of the popular Resident Evil 4 remake, VR Mode will offer a new way to experience Leon S. Kennedy’s adventure through the PSVR 2 virtual reality headset.

The video brings a good example of the novelties in the gameplay. The adventure begins to be played in first person, in the style of Resident Evil Village, which causes a much greater immersion in the dark scenarios of RE4. PSVR 2 controls make even basic game systems like blocking enemy attacks even more immersive and intuitive.

More information on when VR mode will arrive in the PS5 game will be shared by Capcom at a later date.

Resident Evil 4 remake is available for PC, PS4, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. VR mode will be exclusive to PlayStation 5.
