A sequel to the 2012 cult classic, Dragon’s Dogma 2 was developed with immersive physics, advanced character AI, and modern graphics courtesy of RE Engine, Capcom’s proprietary graphics engine used in games such as Resident Evil 4, Devil May Cry 5 and Street Fighter 6, among others.
Watch the trailer for Dragon’s Dogma 2:
The video provided the first glimpse into the richly detailed and explorable fantasy world of Dragon’s Dogma 2, which is in development for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
As in the original Dragon’s Dogma, the player takes on the role of a hero named Nascen (Arisen), destined for a journey of battle against a fearsome dragon that threatens to destroy the world and take over the throne.
In addition to humans, the new game features a new feline race, the Leoterians, and the return of the Pawns system (Pawns, in the original), up to three characters who accompany Nascen on his adventures, learning from him and passing on this knowledge to other other players.

Capcom promises that Dragon’s Dogma 2 will be a challenging action RPG that requires skill, creativity and curiosity from players. The video provides a sample of the graphics, characters and monsters created with the RE Engine, but the producer also points out that the physics and AI of the characters create an environment with dynamic actions and consequences for actions and decisions.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 does not yet have a fixed release date.
