‘I’m ready’: Natalie Portman wants to return to the Star Wars franchise

Natalie Portman is the guest of a new edition of the GQ show called “Actually Me”, in which celebrities create accounts on various sites and answer questions from users about themselves. The actress spoke about her desire to return to the Star Wars universe.

Portman has appeared in three MCU films: Episode I: The Phantom Menace in 1999, Episode II: Attack of the Clones in 2002, and Episode III: Revenge of the Sith in 2005. Her character, Queen Padmé Amidala, was Anakin Skywalker’s lover and died giving birth to twins Luke and Leia. And because the actress logically disappeared forever from the plot. However, fans are still wondering if there is a chance that Portman will reappear in the popular franchise. In a conversation with GQ, the actress commented on a post on Reddit that came out with the following headline:

Any chance Padmé/Natalie Portman will return to Star Wars? Her character really deserves it, given how she was treated in Revenge of the Sith and her importance to the plot of the original trilogy as a whole.

The star noted that she did not know anything about the sequel. However, she would like to return to the famous franchise again.

I don’t know anything about it. No one has ever asked me to come back, but I’m ready,” Natalie said.

Recall that recently at the Cannes Film Festival premiere of the film “May, December”. The film stars Natalie Portman and Julianne Moore in the lead roles. After the show, the actresses talked to reporters and talked about their work on the project. Directed by Todd Haynes was greeted with an 8-minute standing ovation.
