It’s been two weeks since TF1 started airing HPI season 3. On Thursday, May 25 at 9:10 p.m., viewers will also be able to find a new unreleased episode, which will see Morgan (Audrey Fleurot) and Karadek (Mehdi Nebibu) once again join forces to solve a new investigation. Time will take them to the world of rap.
They will try to find out who could have killed Nayama, a young rising rap star. A tyrannical father, a crooked manager, bodyguards, dealers and shootouts… Morgan will have to survive this hellish storm while hooking up with Karadetz.
Changing appearance… puzzled
At the beginning of the episode, Karadek is peacefully preparing for the day at work when Roxanne learns during a conversation that Morgan is back on the Lille DIPJ team.
In embarrassment, the policeman who was shaving slips and removes more hair than necessary. To correct the mistake, he is forced to shave off his beard completely. This new bearded look has since brought a lot of ridicule from his colleagues who had a hard time adjusting to his new look.
Mehdi Nebibu, the character’s translator, will also retain this new look at the end of Season 3. But is this new look really harmless?
Why did Mehdi Nebibu shave his beard?
Changes in movies or series are rarely minor, especially when they happen in the middle of a season. If many would think that Mehdi Nebibo only wanted change, this is not the case.
HPI season 3 has been filming for many months, and the producers decided to shoot the episodes in two parts. Thus, the first two episodes were filmed during the summer, which allowed Morgan to ditch his colorful down jackets for lighter outfits.
Subsequent episodes, including Episode 3, were filmed between November 2022 and March 2023. Consequently, there was a few-month hiatus during the filming of the season, which allowed the actors to work on other projects.
And it turns out that Mehdi Nebibo took advantage of this break and filmed a series for Disney+ in which he had to shave. Last August, the actress was indeed announced for the casting of Tout va bien, a fiction broadcast by Virgin.
Written by Camille de Castelnau (co-screenwriter of Bureau des legendes) in collaboration with Gael Bélan (Engrenages), Benjamin Adam (Paris Police 1900) and Christophe Regin (Renovation Zone), this series immerses us in everyday life in 8 episodes. Facing a serious illness of one of the children of an ordinary family.
For the occasion, Mehdi Nebibu plays Louis, a man with whom Rose (Angel Millet), the mother of a sick little girl, is about to have an affair. So the HPI scriptwriters adapted to the needs of the actor and incorporated Mehdi Nebibu’s beardless new look into the storyline of HPI season 3.
Catch the new HPI Season 3 Episode 3 this Thursday, May 25 from 9:10pm on TF1. For the most impatient, the season is now available in its entirety on MyTF1 Max.
