Succession is coming to an end: the last episode of the fourth season is the conclusion of the series and will be aired this Sunday (28). In an interview for the Omeletteactress Sarah Snook, who plays Siobhan Roy, Shiv, said the end of the production should divide opinions.

In the interview, Snook praised Jesse Armstrong, the showrunner of Succession, calling him a “genius”, and said the series finale was not what he expected. However, she the actress “couldn’t have imagined anything better.”
Regarding the closure, Shiv’s interpreter said it is a mix of annoying and satisfying.
It’s an annoyingly satisfying ending. It’s annoying because not everyone will be satisfied with it. So it’s almost perfect, it fits into show business.

Sarah Snook plays Shiv, the only woman vying for the helm of Waystar Royco. She the actress said that she initially didn’t want the role of her because her character, with her “personal experience of her having that kind of wealth,” is so different from her Snook, that she feared she didn’t have something to connect with.
However, she said she found commonalities with Shiv.
Shiv was a bit of a rebel, proud to be out of the family business and all the gimmicks that go with being a Roy, but she’s obviously seduced by it, and I think part of that reflects her growth from being a Roy. She 20-year-old girl to become an independent woman. I liked this trajectory, because it mirrors mine too.

However, the actress clarified that she would not be friends with Shiv in real life.

With the end of Succession approaching, Snook said that he believes the success of the series is due to the representation of wealth. It’s a good thing for her that while we desire wealth and power, deep down we know it won’t bring happiness.
He also said he considers the production a family affair. Even if it is not a normal family – and a very dysfunctional one – each one has its own story and, therefore, there is an identification.
