Former portfolio holder, Vanessa Rocha, is expected to be MDB’s nominee for the board
Former Secretary of the Treasury of Canoas, Vanessa Rock, it should be the indication of the MDB to assume the administrative direction of the Urban Train Company of Porto Alegre (Trensurb). Rocha’s name should be officially confirmed on June 16, at the shareholders’ meeting, when the new board of directors and the executive will also be decided.
What is already known is that the company will be chaired by the former mayor of Pelotas, Fernando Marroni (PT), appointed by President Lula in February 2023. But still contending for a third position in team management are the parties Avante and photovoltaic .
On Tuesday it was announced that Trensurb will be withdrawn from the National Privatization Plan, i.e. it will remain under state control. The confirmation took place in a meeting between the prime minister of the Civil House, Rui Costa, and the deputy head of the government group in the Chamber, federal deputy of Rio Grande do Sul, Elvino Bohn.
