For companies looking to boost the economic growth of their businesses, international financial support may be an option amid high interest rates. This credit process refers to the scenario in which foreign investors provide financial resources for another country’s companies, projects or sectors, which can lead to the sustainable development of companies, as well as facilitate market expansion and strengthen trade relations between the nations involved.

OR PRONAMPS (National Support Program for Micro and Small Enterprises) was established by Law n. 13.999/20, and has as its object the development and strengthening of small businesses. The program became the official credit policy when it was changed from Law n. 14.161/21in order to grant differentiated and privileged treatment to micro and small enterprises, in order to consolidate them as subjects of support, transformation and development of the national economy.

However, this line of credit includes certain conditions, such as a competitive interest rate, which corresponds to the Selic rate (Special Liquidation and Custody System), which is currently 13.75% per annum. Also, second Boxthe hiring limit is up to 30% of the annual billing communicated by the Federal Revenue Agency, capped at 150 thousand BRL for CNPJ, depending on the payment capacity, which can hinder the plans of a company seeking more financial capital.

“The whole company, when it is internationalizedit now has access to hundreds of international financial institutions, has greater leverage and hard currency cash,” he says.

Bravo says that, overseas, this same company can achieve up to 200% more of its annual billing, allowing for greater breadth with the goal of achieving sustainable and healthy growth.

And also to micro-enterprises, up to R$ 360,000, and small businesses, with gross revenues of less than R$ 4.8 million. As regards the injection of international capital, Bravo underlines that only medium and large companies and companies can benefit.
