Not recommended for children under 16, this violent war film that combines blood, gold and Nazi hunting is a hit on Netflix

Directed by Peter Thorvart, screenwriter of The Wave and Netflix hit Blood Red Sky, this Tarantino-starred war film is bloody entertainment not recommended for children under 16.

All these little people find themselves in a lost village where Jewish treasures were hidden. Enraged by the Nazi attacks, the villagers, who want to keep the treasure, decide to resist them. Heinrich and Elsa soon become unwittingly involved in this fraught hunt for gold, which ends in a bloodbath in the village church.

Blood & Gold is a hit on Netflix, but it’s dividing subscribers

A sort of German answer to Quentin Tarantino’s Inglorious Basterds, Blood & Gold is an entertaining spaghetti western punctuated by some effective and wickedly staged fight sequences.

These ingredients have attracted Netflix subscribers since just three days after its release, Blood & Gold is already the most watched in France. He even climbed to the third place in this ranking. Therefore, subscribers became curious to watch the German film, which was divided. While some loved the feature film, others were disappointed.

Among the opinions of AlloCiné viewers, Deflepard believes that Blood & Gold is “Homage to Tarantino and Ennio Morricone glory. Not bad, but a bit long overall.
