“You don’t know anything, Jon Snow” is a phrase more than known by fans of game of Thrones. Last year, viewers received word that they might see the character again on HBO screens, but now that plan doesn’t seem to be quite right: The project, called To snowit has yet to receive final approval from the issuer.

HBO is working to expand the universe created by George RR Martin and has already announced other derivatives of the main series.
To snow is one of them, and would solely focus on Jon Snow’s trajectory after the events of the final season of Had. The series would bring back Kit Harington to the role and also as an executive producer.
However, in an interview with expirationHBO’s head of drama programming Francesca Orsi hinted that production may not get off the ground:
We are working hard with the writing team to prepare it for a possible channel approval, but at the moment there is no decision yet if it can move forward.

Jon Snow spinoffs
In 2022, when the spin-off was announced, Harington had already given spoilers about the direction of the series. To snow would address character trajectory and moral dilemmas following the death of Daenerys (Emilia Clarke).
The actor said Jon Snow “has to go back to the place with this whole story and live his life thinking about how he killed Dany.” Furthermore, the character would still be haunted by the thought of Ygritte, his former flame, dying in his arms and by the death of Olly, a deserter from Castle Black whom Jon had hanged.

Derivatives of Game of Thrones
To snow is not the only derivative of game of Thrones that HBO has up its sleeve. The Dragon House was one of them, telling the story of the Targaryen family years before the events of the main series.
