At the age of 75 and for the first time in his career, Arnold Schwarzenegger became the main actor in the series Fubar, available on Netflix. In this action comedy, the latter plays a spy who is involved in a high-risk mission with his own daughter, who is also employed as a secret agent for the American government.
Schwarzenegger, the undisputed box office champion of the 80s and 90s, wanted to bring together all the ingredients that made his films a success at the cinema. But clearly, the recipe didn’t work, as evidenced by the mostly negative reviews posted on AlloCiné by Internet users (3.2 out of 5 stars average, 99 ratings).
The audience did not hold back a blow for the sinking of the Arnold Schwarzenegger series, which would almost be tempted to qualify as an industrial accident. to begin with Harry6489 Which gives the series 0.5/5 points: “This series has no interest. The dialogues are flat and the father-son duo doesn’t work at all.”
Same story on the side Frank GWhich gives the series a slightly higher rating of one star: “Schwarz’s series is entirely invested in a little silly humor without much interest.”
Internet user lia Chose to compare Fubar to Sylvester Stallone’s excellent Tulsa King series. A chasm seems to separate the two legends of cinema for the Internet user who does not keep up with the production of Netflix. “What a chatty and disturbingly banal series that tries to conquer despite the presence of Schwarz.”
However, some internet users liked the series. Let’s mention specifically culturevsnews which gives Fubar a four-star rating because of the humorous aspect of the program: “What surprised us was how funny the first episode was, Schwarzenegger was one of the funniest parts of that episode.”
less enthusiasm Albert DeGiv Nevertheless, he did not shy away from enjoying this series of pure entertainment, as evidenced by the opinion left on our site (3 stars): “No one takes themselves seriously, and some words are worth popcorn.”
Other internet users also expressed their feelings via social networks:
I get FUBAR on Netflix @Schwarzenegger And honestly he’s amazing as a retired CIA agent, I’m laughing so hard! If you want to have a good time, keep your eyes closed

035 #fubari 27/05/23 @NetflixFR
Great family action and spy comedy with good cast, working valves, good production, characters. An attractive and rhythmic montage that ensures the audience will not get bored.
And what do you think about it? pic.twitter.com/KIOvDgng2Y— The Bearded Guide (@BarbuGuide) May 27, 2023
It’s really good. I’m super surprised. #fubari pic.twitter.com/7CCeKqUXQV

Despite its pacing issues and sluggish staging, I had no trouble watching 8 episodes of this sub-True Lies.
The characters are enjoyable even if ultra-stereotyped, and it’s nice to find Schwarz as an overworked dad chick. #fubari pic.twitter.com/P89uQplP8w— Telkowski (@AdrienBalet) May 28, 2023
#fubari I submit ugly special effects, disgusting VF (suddenly in VO for me and much better) and stupid script. But it’s still a good series, with a dose of humor, etc #Arnold Schwarzenegger It’s too old for that, but who imposes it anyway 👍❤️

they saw #fubari. Not crazy, but very generous. The casting is very good, with many cover effects. Good entertainment. Let’s see if season two is a little crazier.

for that #fubari I see only one explanation
Schwarzenegger saw Stallone make the series.
Then he saw that the series had completely disappeared #TrueLies
He wanted to do his own style of series and under the pressure, he screwed up.
That’s it
On the other hand, #TulsaKing It’s really not bad. pic.twitter.com/L1k00vsYFl— Mr. So (@JeCraqueTotal) May 27, 2023
