Vanessa is targeted by a mysterious shooter
Soizic hadn’t slept all night, sick after receiving a video of a blackmailer threatening to attack Adam. François advises her to be careful notifying the police, but Soizic points out that if the author of the threat finds out, he will not hesitate to kill their son.
Moreover, Soizic’s goal is to challenge the role of a juror in Vanessa’s trial. He thinks that the fact that Victoire, one of the civil side’s witnesses, is his colleague may be a conflict of interest. But their discussion is interrupted by a call from a blackmailer who seems to have been listening to Soizic’s phone and knows everything about his intentions. He reminds her that Adam’s life is in danger and orders her to convince the other jurors that Vanessa is criminally innocent.
As Vanessa’s trial begins, Aurora gives final instructions to her colleagues. He is convinced that Vanessa has one or more accomplices determined to make her escape. So he explains to his colleagues that Vanessa will drive to the courthouse in a van and enter the building through the main entrance. From where he will leave three hours later. Therefore, Aurora orders a systematic search of people entering the building, as well as a search of bags.
Asked by reporters at the courthouse, Simon Leclerc, Vanessa’s lawyer, swears he is sure, adding that his client is not going to plead insanity. According to him, this is a woman destroyed by existence, who suffers from post-traumatic syndrome.
A confidence that prompts prosecutor Sebastien Perrault to believe that Simon is requesting a temporary change of sobriety that would allow Vanessa to escape a reduced sentence. Raphael reassures his father: he is not going to be impressed by Simon’s sentimental rhetoric. If the latter managed to return the jury, he blamed himself for the rest of his life.
Francois, on the other hand, worries about Adam. He is afraid that something will happen to his son and decides to take him to meet Amel. He states that the streets of Seth are not safe. But Adam doesn’t care about his father’s fear and goes without him. When Charlie then questions him about the burglar alarm he bought that connects directly to the police station, Francois claims that there has been a recent spate of burglaries. Charlie finds his companion’s behavior strange and the tone quickly escalates between them, with Francois especially aghast at being blackmailed.
Civilian witnesses are already gathered outside the courthouse when the prison convoy carrying Vanessa finally arrives. Simon is quick to advise his client. He reminds her that the first impression she makes on him is important. And adds that she has to look sincere and that crying will earn her points.
In front of an audience of journalists, Vanessa plays repentant and swears that she will do everything to return. She then apologizes to Bart, who loses his temper and blames him for ruining her life. Georges intervenes and asks Bart to calm down. Simon Leclerc blames Vanessa for this scandal.
A few hours later, the first day of auditions went well. But by the time Vanessa is about to leave the court through the main entrance, the van isn’t there. A prison officer informs the Auror that Vanessa is finally leaving through another entrance on the side of the building. Aurora and her teams rush in, but are unable to avert tragedy. As Vanessa walks out surrounded by two officers, a gunshot is heard. Vanessa collapses to the ground, clearly unconscious. is he hurt will he die And who is this mysterious shooter?
Bruno leaves farewell letters to his children
On the spoon, before the operation, Bruno Paoletti writes a letter. Mona, who, as usual, meddles in things that do not concern her, asks Nathan’s father if she is writing to her lover or to a secret admirer. Bruno replies that it is not. He writes letters to his children in which he tells them everything he never had to say.
Although he knows that his operation is a trivial procedure, Bruno asks Mona to deliver these letters to Nathan and Julie if he dies. Mona agrees and wishes Bruno the best of luck, after pointing out that the envelope meant for Nathan is much heavier and that he obviously had a lot to say to him. Bruno admits that he hasn’t always been a good father to Nathan and that an apology takes its place.
At the hospital, while Aaron is checking Bruno’s blood pressure one last time before surgery, Nathan suddenly arrives and insists that his father hasn’t been drinking. He also asks her to stop drinking and think about Julie once she leaves the hospital.
Later, as Nathan rushes through the operation, Julie tells her brother the good news: everything went well, the operation was a success. Nathan is relieved.
Diego enters high school and catches Ryan’s eye
It’s Diego’s first day at Agnes Varda High School. The teenager quickly sets her sights on Ryan, who admits that he finds her sexy. Ryan is convinced that Diego is gay, and Jack thinks he is straight. So two high school students decide to bet on the sexual orientation of their new best friend. Whoever loses will have to prepare someone else’s revision papers for the French Baccalaureate.
Between two classes, Jack and Ryan introduce themselves to Diego, who is in the same class as them. Ryan offers the newcomer to accompany him to the drag queen show, and Diego agrees. The goings on seem to be going well with Ryan, which Jack doesn’t seem to like very much.
While handing out depilatory cream samples at school, Camille is surprised by Diego’s interest. The teenager excuses himself: he is an athlete, he runs and rides a bicycle, and such a cream prevents irritation with compression clothes. A scene witnessed by Jack that seems to confirm his belief that Diego is right.
Convinced he’s wrong, Jack asks Jordan what he knows about Diego. He then explains to them that he was taken by the Delcurs. Ryan thinks it’s because his parents rejected him for being gay, but Jordan tells him that he’s actually an orphan and has amnesia. Despite these revelations, Ryan still stands by his position: Diego is definitely gay.
