Black Clover: The Emperor’s Sword (NETFLIX)

It will be discovered on June 16.

First slated for March 31, 2023, Black Clover: The Emperor’s Mage’s Sword finally arrives in France after nearly three months of delay. A chance for fans of the series to find a brave Asta who still lacks magical powers in a battle against four former Mage Emperors who seek to destroy the Clover Kingdom.

On the technical side, anime fans won’t be out of place as Aitaka Tanemura resumes his directorial role here after directing over a hundred episodes of the series. Pierrot Studio is also returning to animation, which is enough to get the community excited right from the start.

The film will be released simultaneously on Netflix worldwide as well as in Japanese theaters on June 16.

rainbow (DNA)

Fully available from May 15.

Fairly unknown, the rainbow is still a favorite among those lucky enough to discover it! Terrifyingly moving, this work by George Abe immerses us in 1955, in a Japan impoverished by the Second World War. In the reformatory, seven teenagers experience various physical and psychological tortures, while dreaming that one day they will be able to escape this prison hell.

If its many dark themes and scenes of violence make it inaccessible to young viewers, Rainbow is still a true ode to friendship and hope that promises to touch the heart. And after being out of print for several years in France, the anime in its entirety (26 episodes) is finally available for legal streaming on DNA!

MY DRESS DEAR (CRUNCHYROLL)

A new episode is available on VF every Saturday starting May 27.

Broadcast on VOSTFR last year in simulcast, the comic anime My Dress-Up Darling is back on Crunchyroll… in VF! The first episode is available and a new one will be added every Saturday at 19:30. My Dress-Up Darling follows Wakana Gojo, a lonely boy with a secret passion for sewing. Marine Kitagawa is beautiful, sociable and popular. When he asks Wakana to make a cosplay costume for him, it’s the beginning of an incredible friendship!

The story of this very funny anime is adapted from a manga published in Japan since 2018 by Square Enix. In France, the work is published by the publishing house Kana Sexy Cosplay Doll (9 volumes have already been published). The anime series is directed by Keisuke Shinohara (Black Fox) and produced by CloverWorks Studio (The Promised Neverland, Horimiya).

You can watch these anime on Netflix, Crunchyroll, and DNA.
