Statements can be submitted until 11.59pm. A fine for not meeting the deadline is at least BRL 165.74, but can be up to 20% of the tax due
The day has come! If you have not yet submitted the Individual Income Tax Return (DIRPF), remember that the deadline ends this wednesday (31). There is still time to collect the paperwork and submit the declaration on time, which avoids a minimum fine of BRL 165.74but what it can achieve 20% of the amount due. A piece of advice for those who are unable to collect the information in time is to send the incomplete declaration. Then, with everything in hand, you can send a file corrective statement.
The penalty for late delivery of the return is charged when the person obliged to submit the return submits it after the legal deadline. The value of the fine starts from the first day following the deadline for delivery and ends on the date of presentation of the return or, if not delivered, on the date of the official release by the Federal Revenue Agency. The deadline expires at 11.59pm, and the Revenue Agency expects to receive up to 39.5 million returns in the period, which began on March 15.

Among the novelties of this year’s Income Tax is the possibility of receiving the IRPEF refund in advance – for those who use the pre-compiled return, and for those who choose to receive the refund via PIX extension. In this case, the key must be the taxpayer’s CPF.
