June 16: Tyler Rake 2

Chris Hemsworth and his biscotti return to smash heads in Tyler Rake 2, the sequel to the blockbuster Tyler Rake, still directed by Sam Hargrave and produced by the Russo Brothers. The actor returns to his role as the fearless mercenary after narrowly escaping death. A new dangerous mission awaits him: to get the family of a ruthless gangster out of prison.

Joining the rest of the cast for the sequel to the most-watched first Netflix original in the streaming service’s history are Golshifteh Farahan and Adam Besa as Nick and Yaz Khan, members of Reiki’s mercenary team, as well as new faces Daniel Bernhardt and Tinatin Dalakishvili.

June 23: Through My Window: Love as a Horizon

The Spanish film Fifty Shades of Gray and Then Halfway Through My Window tells the story of the start of a torrid affair between two neighbors, Raquel (Clara Galle) and Ares (Julio Peña). The film adapted from the novel was a huge hit on Netflix, and two sequels adapting the other two books have apparently been ordered.

The second film, Through My Window: Love’s Horizon, continues Raquel and Ares’ tumultuous relationship. After a year without seeing each other, the two meet for a trip to the seaside. Will their love withstand temptation and uncertainty?

June 28: Run Rabbit Run

Run Rabbit Run is a horror movie straight from Australia. This horror feature film is directed by Dayna Reid, who has worked on the Shining Girls, Hellstrom, and Space Force series, among others.

Succession star Sarah Snook stars in this chilling thriller. The actress plays a single mother who is concerned about the behavior of her daughter, who claims to have memories of another life that evokes a painful family past.

June 30: Nimona

After its special world premiere at the Annecy Festival, Nimona will be available on Netflix. This animated film directed by Nick Bruno and Troy Kuenn is an epic about friendship that can arise from the most unexpected situations, but also about how to accept yourself and others as they are.

Based on ND Stevenson’s National Book Award-nominated graphic novel that hit the New York Times bestseller list, Nimona tells the story of Ballister Bolheart, a knight in a futuristic medieval world who is accused of a crime he did not commit. To clear himself, he summons Nimona, a teenage form who may be the monster he has sworn to destroy.
