Aranhaverse: the live-action with Miles Morales is coming

At the beginning of the launch of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, the film’s producer, Amy Pascal reveals that a live-action Miles Morales is in development. She also confirmed that a Spider-Woman movie could get off the ground.

The production company hasn’t provided any further details on the film’s future, but considering the Hollywood writers’ strike, the live-action filming isn’t expected to happen anytime soon. With the popularity of Miles Morales, Sony will continue to invest heavily in the franchise, with further spinoffs from Kraven the Hunter and Madame Web.

The character’s first appearance of Morales was in Spider-Man in the Spider-Verse, the first film in the series. So, in the recent version of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verseand a third film is already confirmed for 2024, titled Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.

He didn’t give big details about the Spider-Woman film, but said it will arrive “sooner than you expect.” Pascal also said, “I can’t tell you, but she’s on her way.”

Spider-Man 4 with Tom Holland is still uncertain

Amy Pascal also spoke about the continuation of the MCU films with Holland. The screenwriter says the feature film is still in development, but productions have also been halted due to the writer’s strike.

On the other hand, the future of the characters is still assured with the success of the Spider-Verse franchises and the three films starring Tom Holland – although the two projects have suffered from the closures in Hollywood.

However, the strike is far from over and the list of projects affected by the strike continues to grow.

I think the week showed how committed and fervent the writers’ feelings are about all of this. They will sit around until something changes because they can’t afford not to.
