“The theme of the movie was a bit about Pablo Escobar, I wondered about the most “Escobarian” places in this incredible city and was taken to this neighborhood called Barrio Pablo Escobar because it was built. It is an old landfill.
To our surprise, no one was filmed there. Definitely not for security stories. But because this area has left a bad memory in the city. The vast majority of this country hates Escobar, and rightly so.
But residents in this area continue to have a somewhat ambiguous relationship with him. But there was no talk of making a movie about Escobar’s fame“.
With Medellin, Gastambid remains true to his style and offers the platform’s subscribers a comedy that is a little schoolboy, but offers its share. Whether behind the wheel of a sports car or running on the roofs of houses, he and his cast give us two hours of amazing performance.
