Anti-Lula, Father Kelmon brings serious accusations against Bonner and Globo

In VarelaCast, in Salvador, the priest made a controversial statement about William Bonner, host of the ‘Jornal Nacional’ and mediator of the presidential meetings at the Globo in the 2022 campaign.

“The one who hurt me the most in the debates was William Bonner. He stole my time, he interrupted what I was saying to save Lula ”, the religious told the presenter Sheila Varela.

“He stops, gets my attention like I’m a child, argues with me, defends Lula 500 times. He played the role of the toy soldier on the left, Lula’s toy soldier. William Bonner did this. He wasn’t a mediator, he was there to defend a leftist candidacy ».

In the furious verbosity against the most influential TV journalist, Globo also remained. Kelmon accuses the channel of lack of impartiality. “They had one option, they wanted Lula as president.”

He used the recent episode of violence against the press during the visit of Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro to Brasilia to provoke the Marinho family station.

“You did the L. You experienced what the left does to journalists. They could get punched in the middle of the chest that Delis Ortiz took,” she said, referring to the veteran reporter who was assaulted by security guards when she tried to approach Maduro.

The priest commented on the jokes on the internet with the nickname ‘father of the June party’, given to him by another presidential candidate, Senator Soraya Thronicke (União Brasil), in the Globo debate.

“I also have to play with people. I will not shout, I will treat rudely, with bad words. I know who I am, I know my story. I know I went through a whole trajectory of becoming a priest. This person (who makes fun of him) is disinformation, possibly leftist.”

At several points in the interview with the Bahian podcast, Kelmon leaned towards the side of the political spectrum that Lula is on.

“The left demands a lot of this, religious prejudice, but they are the first to be intolerant. If they weren’t, they would learn to respect me and not say the stupid things they do. You would respect me as a priest. Wanting to talk to me, tête-à-tête, just call me,” he challenged.

The presenter asked if he had anything left. “Only the arm,” joked the priest. And he joked that he would remove the surname Silva, the same as the president of the PT.

Regarding the rumor that he will launch a candidate for mayor of Salvador in 2024, Father Kelmon said he has no “pretensions”, however he has placed himself at the disposal of his party, the PTB.
