The Castro Festival served as a ‘warm-up’ for the parade, which will take place this Sunday, 11, in the capital São Paulo
Already in the spirit of the LGBT+ Parade, on the night of this Saturday 10, a crowd went to Vale do Anhangabaú, in the center of São Paulo, to enjoy the attractions of the Feast of Castro, a sort of ‘warm up’ of the Parade.
Talita da Silva and Edemilson Romero were the first to arrive, around 4.30pm. Glued to the railing, the two waited for the main attractions, the artists Liniker and Marina Sena.
“It’s pretty quiet for now. I hope it stays that way until dawn,” Talita said.

During the festival, drag queen Kimberly Schezinger invited attendees to kiss at the activation of a toothpaste brand. With every kiss given and shared on social media, products would be donated to charity.
“I love the vibe, and it’s just getting started, right? I can’t wait to see Marina Sena and lots of kisses,” Kimberly said.

Another action that attracted attention was a booth with personalized fans. In it, Potter, the owner of the company, blew up many fans to get attention. “We can’t wait to sell out all our fans here at the festival. And tomorrow at the LGBT+ Parade we will have cups and more fans.”

Opening
During the opening show, Johnny Hooker said he supported President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) and criticized former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL).
“They have no power over our bodies, our desires, our lives and no one will be able to tell us anything,” exclaimed Hooker.
The full festival lineup included: Allan Natal, Boss In Drama, Carola, Eli Iwasa, Etecetera, From House to Disco, FTampa, Heavy Love DJ’s, Hey Cat, Johnny Hooker, Karol Conká, Leandro Pardi, Lily Scott + Castro Queens, Liniker, Luisa Viscardi, Marina Sena, Nat Valverde, Silva and Valentina Luz.
