The makers of The Crown have reportedly decided to pay tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II in the drama’s final season. The information is spread by a tabloid on. If the paper deserves the rightful opposition to this tabloid press format, we must acknowledge the quality of their “advice” of recent years. Every time the newspaper wrote about new actors who were going to interpret the famous monarch.
And if The Sun is to be believed, producers have decided to cast three actresses – Claire Foy, Olivia Colman and Imelda Staunton – who have already played Elizabeth II at various times in her life, for a series of special scenes. Additionally, the paper reports that a new actress, Viola Pretjohn, will join the cast to portray Elizabeth as a princess during World War II before her coronation in 1953.
The Crown has won numerous awards over its five seasons. Claire Foy and Olivia Colman have won Emmys and Imelda Staunton has been nominated for a BAFTA.
Season 5, however, sparked controversy over the friendship between Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh (Jonathan Pryce) and Lady Penny Ramsey (Natasha McElhone) and their involvement in horse racing. and for including a scene between the latter and an obviously distraught Queen Elizabeth.
The sixth and final season of The Crown is expected before the end of the year.
