Claudine puts pressure on the main witness
It is dark when Alexander Delarive breaks into Johanna’s house. After taking a file photo of Lt. Cross, Claudine’s client stands up.
Early in the morning, Ian rushes to drink coffee, then gathers his file to present to the prosecutor as quickly as possible. Only he quickly notices that it was opened when he closed it before going to sleep.
In turn, Claudine joins Alexander, who confirms that the case is indeed against him. He also tells her that the police questioned the supplier and that he confirmed that he had learned about Ocean’s work in the past. Alexander ends with a half-word confession that he copied the ocean model. Realizing that her client has been lying to her all along, Claudine asks if she has lied to other designers. Indeed, there may be other similar complaints in the future. However, Alexander assures that this will not happen because he will do his job to get her out of this deadlock.
Claudine then calls Alexander’s supplier and then threatens to fire her if she doesn’t change her police statement. Afraid of losing one of her biggest clients, the young woman obeys.
Later, Claudine finds Johanna for tea. After complimenting her on her relationship with Lt. Cross, Claudine tries to find out if she’s had any news from the police department about the Delarivee case. Not knowing anything about it, Johanna mentions that they don’t talk about work with Ian.
At the police station, Becker wanted to know why Lt. Cross was taking so long to send his report to the district attorney. So the latter informs him that his witness has refused and unfortunately he no longer has enough evidence to prove Delariv’s guilt. As he needs time to find other witnesses, Commissioner Becker decides to call the prosecutor to calm him down.
On his return, Ian tells the whole story to Johanna, saying that he is sure that Delarive is putting pressure on his supplier.
Claire and Helen make a strange discovery
At the thatched cottage, Claire and Ellen question Emma and Davia about Victor’s behavior over the past few days. Although they didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary, the two young women indicated that they saw him writing letters, something he had never done before. On the other hand, they do not know who is the recipient of these letters.
Claire and Helen then go to the facility’s storage room and find a whole box of new computers packed away. Considering the price of the material, there is a fortune.
At home, Claire shares her discovery with Florent. Some computers fall off the truck, he doesn’t understand what Victor is up to. The only explanation he can see so far is that his father had a lot of financial worries and didn’t dare tell them about it. For his part, Florent did not imagine him at all in hidden traffic. Claire then wonders if Helen would put them there to rub her the wrong way. A hypothesis Florent struggles to believe.
At the same time, Helen confides in Alix that investigating Victor’s disappearance has brought her closer to Claire. The former nurse is also sure that their partnership is returning, and this makes her especially happy. While continuing with Victor’s accounts, he notices something disturbing.
At nightfall, Victor stops at a lost place in the middle of nowhere. He will then remove the bag and barrel from the trunk before starting to dig. After a while, he finds an iron box that finally opens. This one has handwriting that reads “For any account balance.” Victor barely acknowledges the blow!
