Marvel: Elizabeth Olsen Doesn’t Miss Playing Scarlet Witch

Scarlet Witch’s mysterious end in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ left open her possibility of returning to the Marvel Universe

Elizabeth Olsen is pleased to finally say goodbye to Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witchcharacter of marvel cinematic universe (MCU). The actress has been away from heroin since Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022) and has not yet been announced in any future studio projects.

Olsen spoke about his work for Marvel in a special for the magazine Varietyin which he spoke with the actress Meghan Fahyknown as The White Lotus (2021). In the conversation, the actress made clear her pride in the work she has done with the character.

It was almost 10 years playing her. And I loved it. And I think the reason for not calling the Kevin Feige [presidente da Marvel Studios] every day with ideas is because I feel very proud of what we have already done”.

Olsen debuted as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch in Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014). Then she worked in Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), Captain America: Civil War(2016), Avengers: Infinity War(2018), Avengers: Endgame (2019), in the series WandaVision (2020) and more recently in Multiverse of Madness (2022).

The mysterious end of the character in the movie Doctor Strangeleft open his possibility of returning to the Marvel Universe.

In recent participation in the podcast Happy Sad Confused she said she would love to go back to living Scarlet Witchbut recommended that young actors not sign lengthy contracts like she ended up doing with Marvel.

“Only accept a single [filme], is what I say,” said the actress of long-term contracts. “You might think, ‘Oh my God, this was more fun than I thought it would be, and I love this character so much I want to do it again.’ . Then you have more creative control.”
