Woody Allen: His return to cinema is confirmed by the Rifkin Festival trailer

Woody Allen, 86, is back in Europe for his new comedy, The Rifkin Festival. The release of the film was originally scheduled for September 2021, the film was postponed until July 13, 2022.

Three years after a rainy day in New York, the filmmaker once again tells a comic and romantic story. This time he will take us to Spain, 14 years after Vicky Cristina Barcelona.

The American couple, who are resting at the San Sebastian Festival, are treated to witchcraft originating from the event, Spain and the movies. The wife has an affair with a brilliant French director, while the husband betrays a handsome Spaniard.

This romantic predicament is carried out by Walla Shawn, who plays Mort Rifkin, a sort of alter ego of Woody Allen. Performed by his wife, Susa, Gina Gershon.

Philip, the brilliant director who will bring Sus back, is played by Louis Garrel. As for Elena Anaia, she will put Dr. Rojas in a blouse to approach Rifkin, who has been abandoned by his wife.

From the therapist’s office to this doctor’s office, the protagonist in an identity crisis will try to find himself. However, she will have her volcanic husband, played by Sergi Lopez.
