A second meeting of the Senate Ethics Council in the current legislature, this Wednesday the 14th, it decided to open disciplinary administrative proceedings against five senators. 13 applications were evaluated: six accepted, six archived and one postponed. The reasons for the grievances are many, ranging from criticism of the past government to blasphemies on social media and accusations of marital infidelity.
On Tuesday, two disciplinary cases were opened against the senator Jorge Kajuru. The first of them, under the relation of Otto Alencar (PSD-BA), was established due to a publication that Goiano made on his Instagram profile, on June 29, 2020, accusing Senator Luiz do Carmo of hiring consultants to divert R$ 162,000 in public money.
