Storms caused by the extratropical cyclone that hit the state since Thursday night (15) have left four dead and 7 missing. Heavy rains and intense winds have caused serious disturbances in several regions, creating risky situations and making rescue operations more difficult.
According to the authorities, two deaths were recorded in São Leopoldo, in the metropolitan region, and one in Maquiné, on the north coast. During the morning, Governor Eduardo Leite reported that one of the victims of São Leopoldo was 23 years old and had suffered an electric shock.
In the afternoon, firefighters reported that the body of a missing person had been found in the São José neighborhood. In Maquiné, the victim is a 69-year-old man, according to the town hall. The fourth victim died in Novo Hamburgo. According to the Civil Protection it is a 60-year-old man.

Climatempo forecasts for this Saturday (17) indicate that the weather should remain stable in much of Rio Grande do Sul. However, rain is expected throughout the day in the Northeast, on the coast and in some parts of the Serra, but with less intensity than in the previous days.
