Known for her roles in James and the Giant Peach, Baby, Martin Scorsese’s The Time of Innocence, or more recently in the TV series Call the Midwife, British actress Miriam Margolies is best known to the general public for one of her roles in Hogwarts. School teachers in the Harry Potter saga.
After appearing in several feature films in the franchise, she lent her features to the fun and bubbly Pomona Sprout, teaching botany to the little wizards. He is particularly remembered for the famous mandrake sequence in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, the second part of the saga.
However, even if he absolutely does not regret taking part in the adventure, he recently entrusted the microphone. Vogue UK that he wasn’t particularly a fan of the franchise, and that he was in any case far less interested in the Harry Potter story than the new generation of fans:
“It doesn’t matter as much to me as it does to them”he explained.
“Harry Potter wasn’t that important to me. I was very happy to get the part, I loved being a part of it and meeting all these people, but it’s not Charles Dickens.”
He, who also starred in a feature film about the famous British author in 2017, also said he was overwhelmed by the love fans showed him:
People come up to me and just say, “We love you” and want to hug me. It’s really bright.”
