The first half of June sees the growth of Chevrolet Montana, which approaches Fiat Toro, and the decline of Volkswagen Saveiro
Sales growth of the Chevrolet Montana was one of the highlights of the first half of June in the pickup truck segment. The GM model has reduced the difference it has with Fiat Toro, the leader in the category, to 350 units.
Now ranked 4th overall in pickup trucks, New Montana comes very close to Taurus. If the trend continues in the second half, the difference between Montana and Taurus will drop from 1.4 thousand to less than 650 units in the month. Careful, Fiat has already lowered the prices of the Toro Diesel.
Another figure is the decline of Volkswagen Saveiro, which had sold more than Nova Montana, but in the fortnight of June it recorded only 1,080 sales, falling to 6th place.
The Fiat Strada is the only car that nearly 4,000 sales in June. The numbers are from Fenabrave and still do not reflect the full increase in sales that occurred after the general price reduction through government incentives, as registrations are not as fast as sales.
See below how the pickup standings are considering entries through the 16th, last Friday.
1st FIAT STRADA – 3,977
2nd FIAT TORO – 2,095
3rd TOYOTA HILUX – 1960
4a CHEVROLET MONTANA – 1.745
5th CHEVROLET S10 – 1.352
6th VOLKSWAGEN SAVEIRO – 1.080
