So we dance: Determined to take control of her life after discovering her husband’s betrayal, Sandra escapes to her sister Danie. Opposite each other they find themselves around a common passion: dancing. With the gilded feet of her sister’s friends, Lucien and Roberto Nickel, Sandra finally finds the touch of freedom and madness that her life has lacked. A new life begins: because we all have the right to a second dance! So We Dance is an adaptation of the British feature film Finding Your Feet (2017), directed by Richard Lonkrane.
For the dance sequences, Michelle LaRoche was backed by dancer and choreographer Sofian Chalal, vice-champion of the hip-hop world. It was the producer Maxime Deluni who introduced the director to his work through a video.
He explains: “When I met Sophie, I immediately realized that she would be ideal for a Riyadh character, even though she had never played in front of a camera! Sofian developed the choreographies and he managed to involve all the actors in this work, including Thierry Lermitt, who is not a lover of dance.. “
